Tell me about your obscure cartridge
Ruger/Marlin is going to be making the 35 Remington. I’m thinking I need one. Finding ammo is the biggest concern though. The rationale part of my brain says it’s not worth it and just stick with the 30-30. But since when do rifle rifles and rational thinking go together??? Haha.- Elktrack

Bullets for muzzleloaders
What I was trying to explain is that we are not allowed copper jacketed bullets of any kind or sabots. It has to be all lead bullets. The gas check on the powerbelts is legal though. Yep, there’s a lot of better options out there for sure. -

Sabot and jacketed bullets are illegal here so Powerbelts are one of the best legal options. -

The XTP will absolutely grenade into a thousand little pieces on an elk shoulder too. They do not hold together well -
Fur friendly caliber/.223 bullet
The cast bullets are problematic because they don’t expand. They act like an FMJ. That’s not good. My experience with FMJ and coyotes hasn’t been good.- Elktrack

Yeah, I get it. This has all been talked about over and over. Same song, different verse. Bla bla bla.
