    I’m surprised for an -06 how loud that sucker really is. But it is effective. The 06 has less felt recoil with it than my .243 did.

    Did someone say brake?…. One of the first times I shot it the guy three positions down packed up and left. It’s only a .30-06… Witt machine slip-on brake. Stevens 200 LA .30-06 weighs a whopping 5 1/2 lbs.

    Partly why I like my stevens 200 and savage model 10/110. Once you get that initial action, you can make any custom gun you want.

    I tend to agree with you, but until LEO and their departments decide to actively get rid of qualified immunity due to the bad eggs, they will continue to all be seen as bad eggs.

    It ranks up there for things to find. Most places I look have dropped that and .260 Remington in favor of stuff like the 6.5 CM and 7 PRC.

    My heart condition has all but ruled out a high altitude elk for me unless I take the correct steps to acclimate. Driving truck OTR has shown me I have reason to be concerned over 8500’. Over 9500’ is a show stopper.
