Myself I would rather be shooting than fiddling with calculators and knobs. But that’s just because I am old school and it has worked for me for 50 years so what do I know :unsure:
Having owned a rifle with a timney trigger I would not say that is an upgrade over Howas stock trigger at least not the ones on their newer rifles. But then I am an old soldier used to 2 stage triggers. Enjoy your creation as it is one of a kind.
I have 9 big game rifles not including black powder or slug shotguns. I use them all in rotation using one until I take game with it then switching to the next in rotation. Calibers range from 250-300 savage to 9.3x62. Everything from bolt actions to pump guns to lever actions.
Here in Ny our big game seasons tend to be during colder weather. With gloves being the norm I like my triggers between 3-5 lbs. I have several rifles with set triggers but rarely use them while hunting and never with gloves on.
