Is this what your gun is supposed to look like? I took a brief dip on the last day of the season here in NW CO while chasing a decoy that was being washed downriver by ice. A single goldeneye hen was all I had to show for my NYE day hunt this morning. Better than the skunk and I always enjoy getting in a hunt on the last day of the year. A year ago today, I was hunting quail in central IL. Funny how much things can change in a single year. Happy new years to all.- TheGreek

A Christmas Day solo grouse hunt in the Wasatch NF while visiting my sister in Utah for the holidays. No grouse were harmed but I did flush a bird today. I’ll take any excuse to tote the old model 12 in 16 gauge into the mountains this time of year. Merry Christmas to all.- TheGreek
