Looking for recommendations/advice on cellular trail cameras. I don't need them to spot game, I need them to spot two-legged vermin. It's more of a security issue for a shooting range with no power. I'd like to get notified when someone is out there due to recent vandalism and theft. Looking for...
Without reloading I'd suggest Nosler factory ammo in the regular AccuBond or Partition, start looking soon as that can be hard to find. Also, look at semi-custom loads using these same Nosler bullets or Swift A-Frames. Companies like Unknown Munitions, I've heard good things about them, but...
A couple of friends started decorating their trucks a couple of years ago and going to some local parades. They also started going to some of the small rural communities, like +/- 100 people towns that don't have parades. The other night they came by the farm and we had a nice little 10 truck...
@fleabagmatt beat me to the Dropkick Murphys, but when I want traditional Christmas music I like Sinatra, Bing, Nat King Cole, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis
Why call a wrecker? Offering up some GPS coordinates to honey holes on HT would have gotten a slew of guys showing up. It would take me awhile to drive the big tractor over from eastern WA, but I've done dumber things.
@barbourcreek Welcome to the forum! You may already know, but I'd say the flavor of this forum is strongly DIY hunting and at as-close-of-range as possible. That being said, I enjoy long range shooting and 'up close' hunting. Without a doubt, shooting long range and messing around with PRS...
My wife hates them, but every year I try and squeeze in Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story. And when possible, Die Hard, yes it is a Christmas movie. BTW, she really hates it when she's watching her Hallmark movies and I start doing some commentary to add to the movie.
What you talking about? Every single time I've shot a bison off a running horse with traditional archery gear, it has been DRT! At least those looked like bison. Not a hunting movie, but I've always thought they portrayed a mid-west whitetail spot-on in this classic.
@Oak it's kind of a foregone conclusion that I'm owed some karma points after all my spring donations to various states resulted in ZERO tags, so any chance you can ship it to me by this weekend? Thanks, I've always known you're one of the good guys on here! ;)
Congratulations on the anniversary! The ol' crossbow sounds like it's going to keep food on the table for years to come. You got any good suggestions for 40 years? That milestone is coming up in the spring for us.
It depends on where you spent the day. Back in my cattle days, after spending all day on a horse in blowing snow, I'd come home and crank the wood stove. Sometimes it takes a lot to get thawed back out, then you open the windows and doors to see if you can get it cool enough to sleep.
