Going price of factory ammo makes the price reasonable but that doesn't make buying it a good decision especially if you're a handloader and not particularly interested in shooting the factory ammo. Edit: maybe not. Can get decent RUM ammo online for $2.50-2.60 and if it doesn't shoot well...
No. Even the light ones, unweighted, dont allow the rifle to recoil normally. In addition, they don't actually help shoot better unless a guy has some physical condition or lacks basic shooting fundamentals.
Was gonna say you can do a gunbroker search and I think they list the price and address if you search by zip code.
There's just a dude with an ffl who operates from his house near me that I use.
I got a TFCT 24L a few years back and my light weight glassing tripods all of a sudden felt cheap.
I will say that the Anvil is not ideal for typical glassing. It’s more for shooting than glassing and is kind of sticky compared to most nice ball or pan heads. They have ball heads with leveling...
Anyone who thinks 556 as a cartridge from that range being a factor worth noting on whether it's a conspiracy or not has a dumb take. Its the primary issue cartridge for our war fighters for engagements much longer than 140 yards..
I read your posts as recommending @perma go back and start with different powder charges and then seating depth. What i'm saying (pending everything is structurally sound in his rifle/scope combo and shooter is not to blame) is that spending time with different powder charges and seating depths...
I used to do this and wasted lots of components chasing unicorns.
For the most part if a powder and bullet dont shoot decent at most any jump and charge weight I change powder or bullet.
I assumed that you were aiming at the bullseye closest to each respective group. Since you adjusted your scope, my comment is not applicable in some regards.
to elaborate a little more - I would not expect a 1% change in powder charge to make a notable difference in POI @ 100 yards. You have shots from the other group that hit just as low of POI as the bottom one in group #2. Based on those 2 groups, if you shot a bunch more shots, i'd expect the...
I'd try to get more quality for the $ by going lower magnification/features at the price point. I'd probably try to find a used SWFA 3-9 or 3-15 for around $500.
Was in a scheels yesterday. They were pretty loaded with powder options from Hodgdon/IMR/Viht. No h4895.
Greatest store on earth. Where else can you find mountains of guns, ammo, load supplies.. Kifaru, SG, MR packs, sitka, FL, Camping/backpacking gear, biking stuff for the wife, ferris wheel/...
Maybe? I wouldn't find a lightweight bare muzzle 300 rum enjoyable to shoot so sure on that front. You seem to be a m700 guy, which I do find to be attractive rifles in any of the traditional CDL, BDL, ADL configs. If you have a bunch of savages, yeah, they ugly. Big whoop.
I'm pretty sure i've...
