That first one is a Booner for sure but six of them? Yikes. Seems like some over-bagging might be going on.

Interesting Prompt For Discussion - Deer Butchering in Public

“10% hunt, 10% hate it, the other 80% are indifferent, behave yourselves to keep them indifferent” is spot on. Offending that 80% will do more harm to hunting than the anti-hunters could ever achieve.

So you want to go west? A newbies guide for newbies.

Sorry to hear that you had such a rough time. I also just got home from from my first elk hunt. My second hunt out west. Like you, I went solo because I could not find a hunting partner. My planned primary hunt area turned out to be a disaster. My plan B area was not much better. Plan C was an...

    How Long Meat in Freezer

Just pulled the last antelope steaks out of the freezer last week and they were great! This was from a 2019 harvest, so almost three years in the freezer in vacuum sealed bags.

I'm terrible at field judging. Just curious if you guys think any of these bucks pass the 70" mark.

I like 4 thru 7 and 9. Thanks for sharing those pics. Can't wait to get back to Wyoming with an antelope tag. You are gonna have fun chasing these guys! I'll be looking forward to the pictures from your hunt.

Talk to me about lightening storms in the mountains

I also was at Philmont Scout Ranch in 1974 shortly after those deaths. It weighed on our minds. When we climbed to the summit of the "Tooth of Time" we were required to get off the peak before 11:00 am because of the frequency of those lightning strikes. Get low, stay low.

    Nosler Accubond availability????

Same here. It has been over two years since I have been able to buy Nosler 30-06 ammunition. Very Frustrating.

    Nosler Accubond availability????

Good to know. Guess I'm no longer a Nosler guy. My Remington 700 in 30.06 also loves the 178 grain Hornady ELDX at the range, but not sure how they would do on elk. Gonna work with copper hammers if I ever find that ammunition.

    Nosler Accubond availability????

It's been over two years since the last time I saw 30.06 ammunition with Nosler Accubonds. Is Nosler really still in business?
