Hard to quantify as both R and NR bought raffle chances.
NR's did look close enough, unit 5 would have had a random sheep tag, but a NR drew a raffle tag and picked unit 5. I would guess that NR's buying sheep points probably raised more money.
Because if not for the raffle tags being drawn by NR's there would have still been a random NR sheep tag?
I'm stating a fact, not trying to convince you of anything.
Oh, and giving more tags to residents never needs a defense. We don't show as much favoritism to our Residents as you do in NV...
Shows how much you know.
The reason for it had to do with the way we worked the raffle tag bill in the legislature. Anytime a NR draws one of the raffle tags, they have to come out of the NR quota. If not for the NR winning the sheep raffle, there would have been a random sheep tag.
Since...
News flash, that isn't happening in Wyoming and yes we've applied pressure on the way things work.
Why NR's didn't have a random sheep tag this year in the draw is because of raffle tags. We put the legwork in to make sure that's the way it worked, you know, because those raffle tags do so much...
What's really even more interesting to me, the argument that these tags do so much "good" with the additional money.
Does anyone truly believe that?
Since the conception of these tags, mule deer, goats, sheep, moose, pronghorn all doing like shit. I guess the "good" they do is just hard to...
No, the way the "trust" is supposed to work is license sales and the proceeds from same are to support WILDLIFE for the benefit of ALL citizens.
When commission tags go toward funding WOGA, 4H, Cowboy Joe club, firefighters, music festivals, libraries etc. etc. show me where ALL citizens...
Bulls56it...100% of the funds should go toward wildlife, habitat, etc.
If the cowboy joe club, music festivals, libraries, etc need funds, have a bake sale.
The 56 to 80 commission tags in Wyoming issued per year don't even have to go to support wildlife. Things like the cowboy joe club, libraries, music festivals, predator control boards, 4H clubs, and on and on receive tags to do what they want with the money raised.
Such a "smart" use of our...
Right, it's better than going to the highest bidder, but my friend would vote to shit can raffle tags and keep them in the state draw, all day long.
If you knew the story of that raffle tag, you'd know exactly why.
An absolute joke.
