I would suggest "investing" a few hundred dollars a year in the raffle game. Find some raffles with sheep have hunts that are in Aug and there are everal big game hunts later in December or January. My 2 cents, Sandbrew
Aron is Aron and not politically correct and a little ADD for sure. Glad you liked the podcast. @Oak can tell us if we at least drove a little membership business to the RMBS.
All it takes is $25 and few clicks at www.bighornsheep.org to buy a raffle ticket. When you win no guide needed and plenty of mt goats in Colorado. I spent $100 for this Colorado goat 4 years ago.
That Vondiii guy must be related to me. He has good luck on his 4th year of applying. I'm seeing the same charges and a mt goat tag in my online profile for CPW. Going to to be an epic Fall Vondii.
I've been on 7 or 8 moose hunts. My call of choice is a cut off Gatorade bottle too. I found calling at last light there will often be a bull in that spot the next morning. * This applies to Colorado Shiras YMMV.
A chainsaw bar guard makes a great noise maker it sounds like a moose paddle...
Interesting I live in a purple area and haven't seen a bear in 2 years. I always have B list bear tag so that must prove they are good as bear repellant.
I'm going to use this as an example if I need to extend legal shooting light and maybe a few hunting seasons by a couple extra days if I can't get a tag filled on time. :D
I had an epic year planned but it didn't quite turn out that way......
I drew 6 out of 7 Colorado species -
1- Antelope - Doe tag with the kids...never made it out to hunt with them.
2- Bighorn sheep - Only tag I didn't draw. Don't feel bad I had a leftover ewe tag last year and I did get to...
I would like to add that goats are also a risk factor for other diseases beside MOVI to wild sheep as shown by this die off in AZ in early 2000s. My 2 cents why risk it?

Carl- I hunted this unit several years ago, 8 I think for a bull. Saw several cows nearly every day but never saw a good enough bull. I think the season dates are later and that should help. Not sure what the population is doing. Access was good if you asked. Habitat is limited to right along...
Just figured I would close the loop on this one. Tom Shankster suffered a stroke and passed away last month.

I'll make this offer again......but I need to drop it to 5 days since I already know I have a Colorado Mt goat hunt a probably a moose hunt this fall.
This money goes to great cause so buy early and often. I'll volunteer 5 days of my time for scouting and assisting on a hunt if a Hunttalker...
