I've had great results with mechanical broadeads, however, I've decided to switch back to fixed blades. Mostly due to the fact I can use them over and over. The mechanical blades like to break and therefore typically need replace.
Thank you all for the insight. I really appreciate and hopefully it proves to be a fruitful trip Also, I checked the draw and it looks like they had allocated a 1000 tags for the unit, and a good portion was left over. And I will make sure to treate it as a OTC.
This year I decided to put in for GMU 521 in Colorado. My reasoning behind this is due to the recent changes that CPW made to the unit. I know this can be a hot topic, but I figured I could take advantage of decrease number of archery hunters. Due to this, do you think that 521 may be better...
The other issue of getting rid of bed bugs, is not necessarily the living creature but the eggs. The only way to get rid of them is by heat and typically, it has to be hotter than 140f.
I use to work in senior living and bed bugs are a real issue. Additionally, many of the most expensive hotels have bed bugs and they are only getting worst.
What I do now is check the mattress before I settle in at a hotel. Check all the corners. If there are black spots, that's an indication...
I agree with R.K. watch The Hunting Public and Catman Outdoors. its a grwat way to get the information you need if you have no one to help you out.
Like everyone said, it's your land too. Just realize that not everyone is going to respect it the way you mentioned.
Also, if I were you, I...
Little late, but I had a very successful 2021 deer season here for Indiana. Helped a close friend of my bag his first buck on public land, and then a week later, I got this guy in the same area. Not bad for a public land buck
Thank you all for the input and advice. Hopefully all if this will work out. As some of you stated, they should be asking all the questions and not myself. Guess, I will plan both an individual trip and a group trip. Either way, Ill be out west hunting something.
I definitely appreciate the insight and I believe the hardest part will be prepping them for how physical the hunt can be. Also, I do believe 2 of are more or less all in (I sound confident here...). And yeah, drawing a tag is going to be the hard part, especially because two of the guys are set...
I recently managed to talk a two friends and and one of their Dads into going on a elk hunt for 2023. Originally, it was just the Dad.The destination will hopefully be Montara.
However, My question is how should I go about giving advice and prepping them all for a hunt next year. The reason...
Thank you all for your responses. I did put in for this unit, believing most people would be “lazy” and not enter. Initially, this seems true since there are still 1100 tags left. Also, I appreciate the insight everyone has offered. I plan to go ahead and hunt the unit. Building off of this...
I have a question regarding the new draw units for Colorado. I decided to try one of the units in the southwest corner of Colorado, more specifically, GMU 71 (I did use the search function and found no useful information via HuntTalk). My thought process behind this is that with it being a draw...
Another factor to consider is the fellow “hunter” who shares the public land with you. A few years ago, when I got back into hunting, I had a couple of confrontation with other so-called hunters. I had walked a couple of hundred yards down a trail. To listen for some gobbles. The next thing I...
