How many days should I block off?

Have fun and good luck. Its conceivable that you tag out sooner than expected. If you have some extra time just enjoy what WY is. I think a lot of people pull stakes as soon as they are "finished". I know I have done this, before. After the long drive out there it'd be a shame to just rush...

    California Organizations

Sure you can voice as a non-resident. But they don't really care about the voice of their own constituency on this matter so I don't think they give 2 cents about your voice.

Locking up your gear while your in the back country

I leave it all in the tent. I t would be pretty ballsy to venture into someones tent esp. during hunting season. But I'm sure it happens.

    Wyoming Unit 25

In my experience weekday pressure drops off materially, but i hunt private. Also, you mentioned this is a first pronghorn hunt for you. So when you get your goat, and I hope you do, have a plan in place to get the animal cooled down and onto ice ASAP. Pronghorn doesn't hold up in the heat as...

100% on this. Especially if you find access difficult.

This. One of those roads was mistakenly identified in one of Randy's videos as providing access to public. It doesn't. The next year there were a ton of people driving around on opening morning trying to access it and some driving over fences to do so.

    ALBINO BULL !!

Very cool animal. I'd let him walk so somebody else could enjoy him including myself. I'd always have hopes of bumping into him again. I'm primarily a meat hunter anyhow so, he'd be more enjoyable to me on the hoof. Thanks for sharing.

    1st time archery antelope!!!!

I've never noticed scent to be much of an issue. If you have bovine in the area I would worry more about them and either find a way of avoiding them or have them avoid you and your locality.

    Utah pronghorn worth the effort?

If your hunting Utah anyway and building points there. Then add Pronghorn, otherwise I'd say no.

    Utah OTC elk

I have been hunting Utah for some time now and watch Utah posts carefully. I've also done plenty of my own research (every unit). I leave it to the locals. The units where you can take any bull are units where there are either few elk and the DNR wants even fewer or there is so much private...

    Cramps

I've often wondered what would happen if they hit me while driving in traffic. Fortunately the only time I got them in the car, I was the passenger.

    Cramps

Not to be a wise guy, but my cramps laugh at water and electrolytes and apparently they communicate with my prostate. The end result is both legs cramping up severely in the middle of the night when I have to pee so bad, but I can't bend my legs enough to get out of my sleeping bag and forget...

    Cramps

Thanks guys lots of good ideas. Many have been tried some not. I will keep doing what I'm doing (Water and electrolytes) and add some of the other things to the menu. Only problem I see for me is the beef base. The salt aggravates the BP. Thanks guys. Pickle juice and mustard banana split...

    Cramps

Does anyone get hellacious cramps when hunting? Any cures or preventions other than staying hydrated and keeping up electrolytes? Sorry if this is a re-post. Can't find the original.

Leave 'em with the gut pile. They are the most useless part of any antelope.

Happy Place Pics: stress and anxiety are toxic

All these pics are great, and I thank you for posting them, but there's something extra magical about kids and dogs together.

    smoking wild game

I put an elk shoulder (about 3.75 lbs. of bone in meat) on my Traeger last week and it turned out better than i could have dreamed. I screwed up a couple other pieces of domestic meat learning things before I trusted myself with an elk roast (which was a SUPER simple preparation) but it sure...

California Ammo reg questions - AGAIN

Don't worry about it. Just go and hunt There is no enforcement. Most guys who might be in a position to enforce would sympathize with you/us. Last of all if your still worried then it might be convenient to recall how you built the ammo yourself but the press was stolen the next day. Damn...
