    How are you Packin' ????

We haul out spikes in one load on horse. Never packed one out by hand. Deer will go right on the saddle whole, makes it easy that way.

    Utah Chukars

Had a great time Sat. afternoon taking four speedy chukars with my trusty 16ga. I lucked out not having to walk that much either. I'll be eating good tonight watching the Broncos-Raiders game!

    Feet first-aid???

I have used duct tape on hot-spot prone areas before getting started and it works well. Somtimes the fuzzy side of the moleskin can get balled up under your sock and come off when it gets to rubbing. Duct tape helps that not to happen as bad and make sure to use the duct tape BEFORE mr.blister...

    air mattress

1 pointer is right, you need an insulating material of some kind between you and the groung. I use a 1 1/2" self infalting pad w/a closed cell pad under that. Nothing worse that a cold miserable night's sleep.

    What you think

Aren't the ballistics in the .270WSM almost identitcal to the 7mm Remington magnum? I'd say it's a toss up. My friend shoots all his elk with the regular .270 win cartridge.

    e-bay questions

I've bought and sold on e-bay. If you follow the directions the other guys have mentioned it's pretty easy. The best way to move items is with good pictures that show details and complete descriptions. I haven't had a bad transaction other than I got stiffed on a magazine subscription from a...

    Sagegrouse loads and tactics?

I'd go with the 6's. I like to use 7.5's for most everything but the sage chickens I've seen are pretty good sized. Congrats on the permits.

    Sportsmans Question...

During an elk hunt my buddy got a bad case of the runs and pretty much used all the gauze in his first aid kit, lucky for him there was some snow to help with the clean-up. I too have cut the tops off socks to answer natures call. Don't do what a friend of mine did when we were scouts coming...

    Renegade fox

The 'experts' have finally come to the decision that there is not a deranged person going around the snooty part of Salt Lake snuffing out the house cats and previously believed. Makes you chuckle. http://www.sltrib.com/2003/Jul/07302003/utah/79630.asp
