Next bird you kill.....tie a string around the neck and make a drag 90 degrees to the wind, put a zig-zig in the trail....maybe 50 yds.
Do not let dog see you do it.
know exactly where you started- flag it. rub the bird there and drop a couple feathers.
use 8-10 foot lead. show the dog the...
Pull out a map of Nevada and you will see the appointment of wilderness designation on anything bigger than an anthill across the state----in places no body knows or not enough people to resist
Opportunity!.....to get out and hike ur gun around. You have to have a serious drive inside...a fire if you will....to make it happen. Its not for the average joe, but the say 10% type guys. If anyone is noticing, just about every pimple of a hill in the eatsern part of the state and most of...
Just returned from wyoming.....drove all over heck on the west side of the wyoming range....Kemmerer to Pindale over tri-divide pass, all over the green...from the lakes down to farson road and all around there fishing......The absence of antelope was startling.......maybe saw 10 a day(5 days)...
If they are not in the same area, just look for the nearest nasty thivk or steep stuff, good chance theyll be there. Its like looking through dog hair for fleas....but more fun.
Id laugh my ass off if some dude whacked it and paid the fine....what ...maybe $1000? but would probably have an 83K price on his head for the stunt.......
Was up in Northern Nevada this weekend...saw two clutches of 12 chukar.....nice! There is water all over the desert !!
The antelope we were scouting were hard to find though and we looked HARD....weird....
Throwing a shout out to those that got hammered by snow this year....how is southern idaho, north nevada, montana and sodak looking.
The southwest is looking PRIMED...for quail and maybe chukar
I absolutely hate steel for ducks.....lost too many birds .....I used Heavy-shot and stone birds at solid 40 yd shots now. And that 1700 FPS Kent is BS....kicks like a mule even in an auto
So, I was hating the steel rule in CA until I figured out how lethal #7 is on doves and quail......
The...
I have one with MOA....4-16x.....at 30 ozs plus rail and rings its HEAVY.....my rem 700 in 7RM with bipod weighs around 11 lbs.....BUT, the scope is a solid peice of work and accurate clicks....clear as they come.
Look at the weights of scope, they seem to come from just under a pound to 2 lbs...
I know you get a ton of requests on unit 16 elk. Wondering if you have any juice left to talk about it....I am one behind max and likely going to pull the trigger this year. ....and yes, I have already made one trip to scout....18 hrs away. Would like to hear anything you have to offer on it...
