Should scour a few different hunting forums and guys ask what they need for a rifle to hunt out west. Consensus is usually a $3500 rifle and a $2000 scope that you can drive tent stakes with when you get to camp. And that is after the guy says he has his Dad's Ruger 308 with a 3x9 scope.
Some of you guys need to stop whining about no NR opportunities. I can hunt elk in Wyoming as a NR every year if I want to. Is it going to be a bull, no, but it is elk hunting and they fill the freezer and taste the same.
Believe it or not, but there is a western state that does not limit tags to NR and they have put 400" bulls in the record book. Just good luck drawing a tag, odds are usually way less than .5% for all that put in. Go ahead and try your luck along with residents for the 5 tags for a unit. That...
Excellent video, Randy and Marcus. It is easier for States to raise NR tag prices because NR have no say in the matter. Have to be a lot more careful in raising resident prices, may cause a huge uproar that they will have to listen too.

I've got probably 15 Leupolds, have never had an issue, but then I don't dial either. I did get a couple Trijicons recently, a Huron and Credo. When you are weight conscious and always have your rifle in hand, that extra 5-6 oz has an affect.
They definitely run small, both in men's and women's. My wife is about 5'7" and 135# and she has to wear x-large, medium in lots of other brands, crazy.
An aside to that, if you get drawn for the multi-season tag that allows you to hunt all weapon seasons and pay the additional $140, you can still only harvest 1 deer and the second doe if you get drawn. Then again, our game commission is made up of predator lovers, have to leave something for...
