I will be mounting a VX3i 3.5x10x40 on my Model 7 Stainless in 7mm-08. I am looking for input and comments on the 1 piece base vs. the two piece base. I prefer the looks of the 2 piece, but with this being the older 3 hole (2 front, 1 rear) I am thinking 1 piece would be more stable. Anyone... -

bioboy232000, G1 is my favorite. Tough hunting, but if your willing to put the miles on the boots, you can fill your tag. Here's my last buck from the TWA period 2 in 2008. 3x3 taken mid day at about 200yds with Browning Abolt .300 WinMag. Sorry for the crappy pic. It's a scan. -

Montana whitetail (solo edition)
One of my favorite episodes. Had the same experience here in Northern California. Knew the shot was good (225 yds slightly downhill with slight wind), but could not find any hair or blood.
