Do you happen to know if perins peak swa gets hammered by people in 2nd rifle season? I've been doing some e scouting and it looks good but it's pretty close to durango so I didn't know if it would be a zoo around there or not.

Mike, I was looking at the thread someone had started back in 2020 about unit 74. I hunted unit 65 that season. I was planning on doing a diy archery this year and was kicking around unit 74 after looking at 2020's stats. Was wondering how crowded it normally is during early archery and also if the area had recovered from the 2018 fire? I'm doing a dyi early season muzzleloader hunt with my dad as a retirement gift for him after 43 years with UPS. Not looking for secret spots we are capable mountain hunters but was hoping for some general areas in the wilderness that might be a good starting point. -
