    Colorado quadrupled it's wolf population last week.

    This time of year ought to be quite the smorgasbord for the wolves as quite often , iirc, the beeves are dropping calves and the elk are not too far away hoping to commingle in the feeding grounds.

    I caught all my biggest cutthroat and brookies on a silver, black or gold Blue Fox . I fished mostly the deepest part of the lakes and let that booger go down deep and bring it up slow with some changes in motion!

    I loved finding the huge old growth monsters in the high country! Too many to list here , but I once found the largest lodgepole pine I had ever seen anywhere in the vicinity of Porphyry Peaks in Grand County,CO. Found some other massive fir and spruce trees in the Indian Peaks Wilderness...

    Awesome job! I hate barbwire! Was on a body search in a reservoir in Colorado many years ago. It was my time doing a dive and I got tangled up for 30 minutes on the bottom in a bird's nest of fishing line on an old barbwire fence! I was launching F-bombs into the comms unit for a few minutes...

    Good drybags, a homemade wash station for camp, a good thick Paco Pad, full sized cot, a good shell for rain or snow, two headlamps w/extra batteries, wet ones.......that's all for now! Buy good beer not the cheap stuff!

    Been taping my rifle barrels for years. Learned to do it in the service. It is a particularly necessary trick when using a scabbard on horseback as all kinds of nasty gets in the bottom of scabbard for riding "off piste"!
