Central White tail deer are nonexistent.

I have hunted that area before, the reason why I do not put in for it is the youth pheasant hunt bumping the deer around. I do think the WT's are down across the state, but I still filled my tags this year in Wyoming. I did see a ton of deer through the Riverton and Lander area of both...

    Best Reusable Game Bags?

I had Kuiu game bags for years and when they gave up the ghost, I switched to king size pillow cases. 24 pack on Amazon for $40 Tie a knot in the end if you want to hang them, give them to a friend without worries of getting them back, and you do not feel bad when you have to throw them away...

Which western states have been disproportionately good to you in drawing tags?

Utah. But I'm out now. Not going to pay their prices anymore. $190 for the licence and then $15 for an app fee. It used to be $80 with a $10 App fee Drew LE elk back when it was $800 and now it is $1,950. Drew Swan multiple times when it was just the App fee, now it is $195 + the app fee...

What you learn if you spend enough time hunting wild game

You will see random things in the woods. You may see one of life's questions that you never thought about. Like, How porcupines mate?

Oso negro Americano / Ursus Americanus / American Black Bear

Even if she was a boar, I think I would have just marked the location and gave the bear a year to get bigger. My first thought it is was too small, but I want to try and sex it in the field. Probably the biggest clue it was a young sow was no balls/penis sheath.

Oso negro Americano / Ursus Americanus / American Black Bear

Determined this young bear was a sow. Even though I had a tag, decided to just watch her feed. Also it’s crazy how some photos make this bear look bigger than what it actually is and some photos make an accurate representation of how little the bear is.

    electric bikes

The issue with Uhauls is they are $20 a day + 0.19 a mile. They can add up pretty quickly if you have a long ways to go

    electric bikes

Yeah, people that think they are a regular bike will be shocked at how different they are. People that think they are an atv replacement, would be shocked how different there are as well. A lot heavier and less maneuverable. Actually fairly fun to ride around town and in parks. Not as...

    electric bikes

You want the walk beside mode on them. I drug my ice fishing sled across the ice and up a hill to the truck with one last year. I imagine with a deer skid you could do the same thing. Towing on an e-bike with a skid or sled through the woods would require the use of a helmet IMO, but...

    Deer Hunting North West Wyoming

I know if the migration is on, it can be a very fun hunt. There are also a few whiteys that run around the area as well, if that is something you are open too if you do not see deer up high.

A few of the issues with the Maverick and hunting Gas Tank The size of the gas tank. (Also a lot of the mid sizes fall into the small gas tank category) 14 (2.5 Hybrid) 16 (2.0 Eco Boost) The AWD/2.0 Off road versions will get around 20 mpg at best in the mountains and less if loaded up...

Hunting Solo by choice or circumstance

I do both. I prefer to at least have a camp to come back to with other people and then hunt solo from the base camp.

2025 Idaho Sandhill Crane area 1

I have hunted this area. I had access to a field at the time and we just hid behind wooden fence posts in the flight path. The kind of hiding that made us look more like Ranchers than hunters. I imagine if you found them in a field, the owner would let you have access in the area. OnX will...
