It's not the "let off" that you're talking about. It's how the trigger "breaks or the pull weight". Let off is how far a trigger travels on a double action firearm to reset the trigger for the next shot. For example a striker fired, semi auto pistol. You pull the trigger and the gun fires. How... -

Non Political Broadhead Thread (With a Bonus Poll!)

Surprised that nobody brought up 416 Rigby to 338 Lapua. 505 Gibbs for the 408 Cheytac. There's numerous ones made off of the 50 BMG case.- std7mag

Bullet seating coal differences
@N2TRKYS is spot on! Talking with a custom bullet maker, he claims that getting the ogive consistent is the hardest part. It varies enough that he will box up different base to ogive measurements for sale. Of course his buyers have been known to weigh primers.....- std7mag

Headspace issue or not - Part 2
It wouldn't be that the shoulder is shorter. It would be that the distance from the cartridge base to the body/shoulder junction is longer. Savage has discontinued all previous Axis and Axis II models
