New Mexico Elk Unit 17
My hunt opens Oct 20 and is 5 days muzzleloader. I have accrued several hot summer days of scouting in the unit focusing on the southern end, in and around the Apache Kid Wilderness due to its remoteness and ruggedness. Unfortunately I haven't seen much in the way of elk or elk sign in the area... -
