I definitely will be searching for a different broadhead to try this year. Hard finding one that tunes easily, leaves nice wound channels, and has good penetration and durability- Sharp stick

I think some residents just like to crap on non residents as if they are the cause of all issues. But those same whiners are probably more than happy to buy a non resident tag in a state other than their own if they can get one. Soft, cavity hit. I am not happy with the blood trail I get with these slick tricks. I have killed several whitetails using these with complete pass throughs. Blood trails are not always good. Some times fat or entrails plug the holes fairly quick, but not always. The elk I wrote about obviously...- Sharp stick

There seems to be quite a few condescending opinions in this thread, many if not most feel it was simply a poor shot taken. There are so many things that can go wrong on an animal that anyone who has hunted for more than a few years has had something unfortunate happen that caused a wounded...- Sharp stick

You forgot the age old complaint that you hear coming from many states that those non residents that suck at hunting are always the ones wounding animals, of course residents don’t have that problem. Lol- Sharp stick

I had a similar enough experience this year on a nice bull. I was in Az hunting a waterhole, at last light a nice bull came in and began to drink, he was 44 yds( well within range), broadside with his head down totally oblivious to our presence. I still had enough light to make him out good and...- Sharp stick

Snake gaiters or Regular gaiters in snake country
I asked the question as I am going to be hunting elk in early Sep in Az archery season as a non resident. This will be my first hunting trip in Az and I hear they have lots of different snakes there and when chasing bugling bulls I not always look to see where I am stepping- Sharp stick

When hunting in the desert or anywhere that venomous snakes live is it advisable to wear snake gaiters or chaps and what is the difference between regular gaiters and snake gaiters? Would regular gaiters work or suffice as snake bite protection?- Sharp stick
