Diesel parking heaters exhaust outside the vehicle. Heat is transferred through a heat exchanger and have forced air running into the heated space thru a duct of some kind. Typically propane heaters used for this purpose, like a Buddy heater (this is what I assume the OP is looking to use)...
Propane heaters put out a lot of moisture and could cause condensation issues in confined spaces especially if you are bringing wet clothing, boots etc. in with you. Diesel heaters are a dry heat and with dry clothing and gear much faster.
Ended up waiting until the end of the year and got a 2024 F150 Powerboost hybrid with the 6.5ft bed, new, no hail damage. Consistently getting 22+mpg average mpg even driving at 5,000 to 9,000 ft. Really like the truck so far but only have 1,300 miles on it.
Some of the hail damaged trucks...
A recent 2024 book "Nuclear War: A Scenario" by Annie Jacobsen is a good read on the subject. Basically, if it were to go down, it would be over in a handful of minutes with the survival of most people in the Northern hemisphere as highly doubtful.
Locally I could sell my truck for $10 to $12K as a private party seller, I might only get $7 as a trade-in. I live in a rural area, 40 miles to the closest major town with gas and groceries, so reliability is key. I think the truck still has a lot of life left in it, that's why its taken me...
Would you buy a new truck with hail damage? I've been pondering a new truck for the past 6 months or so to replace my 13 year old truck that has 170+K miles. Its a 2012 Ram 1500 5.7l. It's been a great truck. Only one issue with the shift solenoid at 75K miles. Looking to replace the truck...
I've shot a handful of elk with the OP's set up. Optima 2 and 295 grain powerbelts. My hunting buddy also uses the Optima 2 as well but is using Federal BOR LOK in 350 grain also with good results.
I neither drink alcohol or smoke/edibles but have friends that do. Although, typically no smoking on hunting trips and very little alcohol. Personally, I'm fairly libertarian and feel adults should be responsible for their own actions and bear in mind the consequences including unintended...
We've been using TurboTax Premiere over the past several years. It has modules for rental properties. We have 8 properties currently. Usually purchase thru Costco. The electronic download version run's about $85. Costco will send a link and a key when purchased.
I have hunted both rifle and archery OTC units over the years. It depends on the unit and where you hunt in a given unit. I have seen archery OTC units with a ton of hunters and spend 2 weeks in a different unit and only run across one or two other hunters. I have been in rifle OTC units and...
I would think you could get to the 10% number by making OTC units a draw for non-residents (similar to other western states). Alternatively, OTC with Caps vs. eliminating OTC all together for both residents and non-residents alike. Also, this does nothing for overcrowding during 2nd and 3rd...
