@The Hedgehog - It's impolite to ask people to justify their preferences; however, I don't like any form of Christmas Tree reticle or ones with thick lines.
@MIDeerAssassin - Apologies, in my area of Michigan (the Lower Peninsula), baiting is explicitly illegal unless you qualify for meeting...
@The Hedgehog - I'm using a Zeiss 4-16x50 currently. I think that S&B and TT both make fine scopes, but I just don't care for the reticle design. That's all (personal preference).
@Wind Gypsy - I have never used a scope with 40x magnification for hunting yet - I just don't that for what I want...
You're not saying anything worth listening to. I asked for weigh in on some scopes. Not about how and where I hunt, how good of a shot I am, not about my blind or fields - just regarding which scopes can accomplish my goals.
I narrowed it down to 3 and welcome useful opinions.
@Hem - Cornfeeders in any private or public area that is hunted are illegal in Michigan. In general, baiting is illegal in Michigan, period.
@Dave N - The field runs approximately 1000~ yards. If I wanted to go apeshit with this gun, I could upgrade the crap out of it to take it to 500+ yards...
I'm cool chasing that rabbit hole. I'm going to do it one way or another - so folks can either help me or just talk trash. At the end of the day, I'm looking to see what technology is available to help me assuredly take ethical shots at longer distances.
Not building another blind when the one...

@Potsie - Good work on the username. Now, go sit on it Potsie.

High-Speed Internet
But that's not all ...
It is 100% solar-powered!
@The Hedgehog - I've never...
I don't take pictures much, sorry. I'll try to take one once I get my new scope put on.
@Dave N - Your TC ProHunter is a fine weapon. It's not quite a UML / Paramount / Gunwerks-level, but a fine weapon nonetheless. And I don't take shots that are questionable - ever. And as I explained time...
My farm is classified by the NRCS as a "Preserve" since I have so much dedicated acreage for restoring habitat, in particular, pheasants, turkeys, woodcocks, and ruffed grouse. I have an insane amount of deer here as well - huge ones too. I have no need to go anywhere else.
@Nick87 - Thermal isn't legal in Michigan.
@Dave N - I never said more money = better. Better = Better. My comment regarding a bag of bricks is that a .50cal muzzleloader drops deer way harder than a .350 Legend. That isn't rocket science.
You completely missed my point regarding shootable...
