    Hey Cav67,

    Saw you've spent some time out in unit 71. Has it always been Rifle? I am heading that way for the first time in September for the archery season.

    You'll be a bit earlier than my hunt, so don't imagine you'll see snow. Last year I went up from AZ on 10/11 and got there late afternoon, weather was nice about 45 to 50 degrees, but overnite got about 6 inches dropped and temp down to low 30's. Was quite the shocking wake up.

    It cleared quickly and then a light dust on the day and a half later. Was cold during the nights (18-32) and nice during the day (40 to 45). Overall it was a good hunt, even though I ended with no elk, but great time and fun. Wish ya luck! Go get 'em! Just don't shoot my Bull! :)

    HA I really appreciate the info. Thanks for the acclimation tip, would have never thought of that. The temp swing is wild. Best of luck to you as well.
