    I am from CA and don't have a tag in MT. Is it easy to get OTC there for state boys? Having an OTC tag that would be amazing. If not, it is still a go for me for the experience. call me if you want to have someone just tagalong at 2139220222. Just to go on the hunt is awesome by itself. At 55 I'm not a spring chicken to run uphill but can hike ok.

    Yes, you can buy a otc tag for elk/deer, and deer is pretty easy to fill, elk is about 5%-10% success. Otherwise very difficult elk hunting compared to other states. I mostly hunt with my kids or by myself, but thanks for the offer.

    Well, I'm not there yet to go solo and don't have like-minded friends when it comes to hunting. Gotta start somewhere, hence my offer. I respect your decision. Hopefully someone eventually responds differently. Otherwise, how'd we ever find hunting partners if not on places like HT? There's a joy to pass along experiences & knowledge and hopefully one would take me in.
    that just sounded like a lost puppy. 🤣.
