Hey there - I saw on a post you mentioned hunting in WY unit 34 near Kaycee for deer. I’m considering burning my elk points there. Curious if you saw elk or have any insight on what access is like into elk country? Thanks!

I did not see any, but I did run into a group of hunters who had located a herd the morning I shot my buck and they were making plans for trying to get on them in the morning. With no snow to push the elk down, they were all still up in the timber at 11,000 feet. There's not much access to the high country. If there was snow, I think it would be a good hunt for elk.
Congrats on your Colorado deer hunt. I enjoyed the story and pics. I am thinking about putting in for the 4th season cow hunt in 79. Did you see many elk on your hunt?
