Any truth to the story about wild hogs now being a problem in parts of Canada now?
Some folks on another forum were discussing and I had never heard of such.
Have hunted hogs many times in Texas, Alabama and Oklahoma but never knew they existed in Canada.

This would be the dream hunt. A couple months with a pack string, traveling many miles in the wilderness shooting game, fishing, camping comfortable, eating good and just enjoying the country.

I don't understand the need for a dedicated turkey shotgun.
Same old 12ga you shoot ducks, geese and pheasants with will work just fine. No need for a fancy camo finish or special sighting system either.

I've got three of those boat paddles; .22/77, .223 & .243. Had a .270 and gave it to my nephew.

Having done (8) trips to AK, I think your schedule is biting off a whole lot more driving and travel than you will be able to accomplish in that time.
I've done the cruise / inland tour thing and would not recommend. Felt like being herded around like cattle.

My neighbors who are also the same guys that cash rent and farm our ground raise about 8,000 hogs year round. A couple times per year they will call up with a hog or two that has a minor injury, rupture, bum leg, etc. They can't keep them with the healthy hogs and the packers don't want them...
