No, it does not mean that. Equitable opportunity simply means not favoring one user group over another. I.e.: policies favoring nonresident landowners over the general public, guided clients over non guided hunters, the wealthy over the average joe, etc.
Good morning everyone! Montana BHA is finalizing the announcement regarding this raffle, and I'll make sure to post here once that formal announcement comes out. I'm as eager as the rest of you to get the word out!
There also seems to be some continuing confusion about what BHA does and what...
There are still things I really like, but it is tough. Really hard for me to enjoy watching the show once they started going on expensive guided trips with baseball players, country stars, and industry insiders; riding side-by-sides, and generally doing very little DIY boots on the ground public...
No, it just means the lower court's ruling still only applies in the 10th, and in the other circuits it remains an open question. In the other circuits it becomes "persuasive" authority but it is not "precedent," and if they choose to reject it they can.
The court only hears about 100-150 of roughly 7000 cases that come before them, and often they hear the cases that satisfy political whims and contemporary national issues. The tenth circuit ruling, although not law, could be highly persuasive in other circuits. If another case came up in the...
SCOTUS takes a very limited number of cases. If the hunters win this appeal, even if the landowner requests review from the supreme court, I highly doubt they will take up the case.
Just to clarify, if the hunters win, the only states where corner crossing will be explicitly legal based upon...
I started applying at age 12, and I am 34 now. Had I applied every year between 12 and 34, I would have 22 points. Instead, I stopped applying between the ages of 18-28, which means I lost my points. And then I started again at 28, 6 years ago.
I don't have too many regrets, but perhaps my biggest one is taking a 10 year break from applying/buying points when I went to go get edjumacated. I should be at 22 points, but instead, I have 6. I honestly don't know if the advanced degrees were worth it.
Because I am a glutton for punishment: solo archery mature bull elk, public land, done from start to finish by myself. Scout, call, kill, clean, pack out, process. No help from anyone. I want to do this once in my life while I am still healthy enough to do it. Almost did it last year, but could...
