Polaris Ranger/Honda Pioneer what is enough?

To me belt change is a huge issue. The 570 midsize I have is a pain. Have blown 4 belts now and I'm very gentle on it. Turns out some stuff missing in primary clutch, a couple spacers. Probably never put in. If you blow a belt you better have tools with you and hope you are not in mud or water...

New Coyote Rifle On The Way!!! Ammo Advice?

Imr 4064 for powder, been loading it for 50 years in multiple 22-250's. Worked in every one. 52 grain match Sierra is the bullet I have been using for coyotes. 3700 ft/sec gets the job done.

    Suppressor questions

Ok,Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Makes getting a suppressor that much less attractive for me. Fire_9 I was didn't know that. That does make a little difference

    Suppressor questions

I am somewhat interested in a suppressor. But I want to set it up so my wife, son and grandsons can also use it. My grandsons are to young to hunt yet, oldest just turned 8. Can I put them on the paperwork so when they get old enough to hunt they can use the suppressor??

    New BF Good rich KO3

I thought the Ko2's were horrible on ice. Had them on a 1/2 ton truck, they were ok in deep snow and wore very good. Had over 50,000 miles on them when I traded trucks

    Reintroduced CO Wolves

I went to Yellowstone park a number of years ago. As you drive around you see groups of people looking at critters. While driving we saw a smallish ratty looking coyote, decided to turn around and go back to relook at something. After we did that we went back to where we saw the coyote. A whole...

    Joint Replacements and Hunting

Will be almost 2 years since my knee replacement. I envy everyone of you that it worked for. I still am struggling with mine, and yes I did the PT, believe me I did the PT. DR said your knee is fine, you can walk and get up out of a chair what more do you need. Not happy. Muscles in my knee are...

    Anyone chase coyotes with snowmobiles?

Try that in Minnesota and the law will take your snowmobile and you will get a hefty fine. Coyote is considered a non game animal and no closed season but running them or chasing them with a snowmobile will get you in serious trouble.

How Far with a 7mm Rem Mag?-Elk Hunting

Go the the range, shoot a bunch. There is a big difference between hitting where you want at 300 yards vs 600 yards. And then try it without being on a shooting bench, that will really tell you if you want to take a shot or not. I passed up shooting at an elk last fall at 750 yards. To much wind...

    Costco gas

Just looked at an app for gas. This is in central mn. Costco gas 2.59, stop n go an d GFI gas are the same. Everyone else is 2.65 -2.89. My truck has a 36 gallons tank, so it can make a difference on a tank full. But I wouldn't sit in line for a nickel's worth of difference.

What rifles are the least picky with ammunition?

Well I have had multiple savage rifles that didn't shoot worth a darn. I only have 2 with the factory barrels on them and they have a Proof barrel on them, Ultralights. Had a 25/06, a couple 7mm rem mags and a 300 win mag, all are now carrying different barrels. Had a Tikka 7mm rem mag I...

Hammer Bullets - what makes them so great?

I tried Hammers right away. Shot a elk and a mule deer and my son shot a mule deer, relative shot a couple big bull elk. All dead but.... I like a bigger exit hole. All these were shot with a .284 diameter 143 HH. But .284 hole in and .284 out does not leave much of a blood trail. Others have...
